Wild by Design is a fast-growing company creating wild gardens and natural landscapes across Surrey and surrounding counties. We’re wildlife and nature driven, with a focus on planting and maintenance that supports biodiversity and creates beautiful, functional outdoor spaces. Our work includes wildflower meadows, ponds, naturalistic planting, and habitat creation.
We’re looking for a practical, enthusiastic individual to join the team as a Horticultural Operative, supporting day-to-day garden maintenance and planting plan installations across a range of sites.

Key responsibilities
Assist in the maintenance of garden areas, including planting, pruning, and weeding
Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for various gardening tasks
Perform groundskeeping duties to ensure cleanliness and aesthetic appeal of the landscape
Irrigate plants as needed, ensuring proper watering techniques are applied
Monitor plant health and growth, identifying any issues that may arise
Collaborate with team members to execute maintenance projects efficiently
Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition, reporting any repairs needed

Passion for plants, nature, and ecological work
Willingness to learn and take initiative
Ability to work solo and within a team
Desirable (but not essential)
Experience in gardening, landscaping, or horticulture
