Our Estate Maintenance Services
Complete Garden and Grounds Care
We maintain every element of your estate to the highest standard, from ornamental lawns and borders to kitchen gardens and hedgerows. Our team combines traditional techniques with modern efficiency, ensuring your estate flourishes in every season.
Our lawn care uses organic methods where possible, with seasonal feeding and overseeding programmes. Border maintenance includes expert pruning, plant health monitoring, and sustainable weed control. For productive areas, we manage fruit and vegetable gardens with organic growing methods and integrated pest management.
Specialist Habitat & Woodland Management
Our dedicated woodland management and wilding team, led by our woodland ranger, provides expert care for wooded areas across your estate.
We conduct tree safety inspections, manage diseased trees, and carry out professional tree surgery. Our habitat enhancement work includes all types of wilding, wildflower meadow establishment, wildlife corridor creation, and wildlife pond maintenance.
Seasonal Care Programmes
Spring: Garden awakening programmes, lawn renovation, pruning, and essential woodland management tasks.
Summer: Regular maintenance, pest monitoring, irrigation management, and woodland path care.
Autumn: Leaf clearance, bulb planting, tree work, and garden feature maintenance.
Winter: Plant protection, major pruning, infrastructure maintenance, and planning for the following year.
Bespoke Maintenance Plans
We work closely with estate owners, managers, and agents to develop tailored maintenance schedules that reflect each property’s unique needs. Our plans include customised care calendars, seasonal priority planning, and long-term sustainable garden initiatives.
Multi-year improvement plans allow for gradual enhancement whilst our biodiversity projects create lasting value for wildlife and property aesthetics.
Grounds Maintenance Contracts
Most of our estate work runs on an annual grounds maintenance contract — an agreed schedule of visits, a defined scope, and a fixed cost you can budget against, rather than a series of ad-hoc call-outs. As grounds maintenance contractors we cover everything from a single large garden to full estate grounds: lawns and formal turf, borders and beds, hedges and boundaries, trees, drives and paths, meadows and woodland.
Unlike many grounds maintenance companies, horticulture is where we started rather than an add-on to a mowing round. Our teams are trained gardeners, our woodland work is led by a qualified ranger, and the same people who design and build gardens are the ones who look after them long-term. For estate managers and land agents that usually means fewer contractors to co-ordinate and a more consistent standard across the whole property.
Every commercial grounds maintenance proposal starts with a site walk-round and a written schedule, so you can see exactly what is included, how often, and at what cost before anything is agreed.
Sustainable Practices
Our wildlife-friendly maintenance approach prioritises native species, reduces chemical usage, and supports beneficial insects. We focus on creating habitats that enhance both property value and ecological health.

Professional Standards
Our uniformed teams provide discreet, punctual service with complete confidentiality. BALI accreditation ensures professional standards whilst our award recognition reflects our innovative approach to estate care.
Who We Work With
We provide estate management services and commercial garden maintenance for private estates and country houses, listed and heritage properties, larger private gardens, and commercial grounds across Surrey and Sussex. We work directly with owners as often as with estate managers, land agents and managing agents, and we’re comfortable reporting into whichever arrangement suits the property.
On the practical side: our teams are uniformed, DBS-conscious about working on occupied private property, and used to operating discreetly around families, staff and guests. We hold comprehensive insurance, and risk assessments and method statements can be provided for any site that requires them. We are BALI-accredited, Pro Landscaper 30 Under 30 award winners, and partnered with Surrey Wildlife Trust — which matters most on estates with SSSI land, ancient woodland, ponds or protected species, where the wrong approach causes real problems.

What is the difference between grounds maintenance and garden maintenance?
Garden maintenance usually means the ornamental garden around a house — lawns, borders, hedges. Grounds maintenance covers the wider property: drives and verges, parkland and paddocks, meadows, woodland edges, ponds and boundaries, often across several acres. We do both, and on most estates the contract covers the two together.
Do you work to a contract or charge per visit?
Most estates run on an annual grounds maintenance contract with an agreed visit schedule and a fixed cost, which makes budgeting straightforward. We also take on one-off and seasonal work. Whichever suits, you get a written schedule and transparent pricing before anything starts.
Are you insured, and can you provide documentation?
Yes. We maintain comprehensive insurance, and we can provide risk assessments and method statements for sites that require them. We’re BALI-accredited, which carries its own standards of workmanship and business practice.
Do you work with estate managers and land agents?
Regularly. We’re used to reporting into an estate manager, a managing agent, or directly to the owner, and to fitting around the way a property already runs. We’ll adapt the reporting and scheduling to whatever arrangement works.
How large a property can you take on?
From a single large garden through to full estate grounds and woodland. Our in-house teams cover horticulture, woodland management and tree work, supported by specialist subcontractors where a job calls for it, so scale is rarely the limiting factor.
Can you manage woodland and meadows as well as gardens?
Yes — it’s one of the reasons owners come to us. Our woodland and wilding team is led by a qualified woodland ranger and handles coppicing, ride management, tree safety and meadow establishment alongside the formal gardens, all under one contract.
