MEDITERRANIAN GARDEN

Previously a very flat and wet lawn space, our clients commissioned us to design and build a new garden featuring seating destination, feature drystone wall, terracotta water feature and Mediterranean style planting. 

The property sits in a very wet area and the garden had French drains dug across the lawn – these were no longer working and so were removed during the garden construction. The drainage was sorted by diverting the surface water into free draining gravel plant beds. This, and a regular aeration of the lawn has solved the drainage without leaving brown trenches through the hot summer!

The garden used all recycled bricks and a rustic chestnut post wrap around for the seating area. 

After completion our clients kindly asked us to redesign their front garden, transforming it into relaxing outdoor space that gives them joy every time they walk up to the front door.
