The boundaries of this garden had been left to grow. After some failed attempts at seeding our client asked us to install wildflower earth from Wildflower turf ltd. Despite a tricky winter for establishment and some rye grass ingress we managed to achieve good wildflower representation after only 7 months.
We managed this with careful focused weeding and grass control and we have future plans for yellow rattle use to control the growth of the most rampant grasses.
This meadow will progress and grow as the years pass, gently settling into a more stable routine of flowering, with only two or three cuts a year.
