Our client came to us seeking a solution to a climbing rose dragging an old apple tree down. We loved the gothic, twisted form of the apple tree and suggested we mirror this with a driftwood pergola taking inspiration from and marrying to the old apple tree.
We had to heavily trim both the tree and rose, but did so leaving enough growth to tie the rose around the full length of the pergola. These roses gave our client a wonderful show just 4 months after completion.
