The brief at this property was to create a raised seating area using reclaimed teak boards. The decking was to be situated under a 400 year old oak tree and raised to soak up the evening sun.
We had to take great care to ensure that we did not disturb the tree itself, whilst creating a solid foundation upon which to build this deck. In addition to the deck, we suggested that a feature be made out of the whole Oak. We created a woodland inspired wrap around border to showcase this beautiful ancient tree.
