This garden was designed to bring in as much wildlife as possible. Our client wanted to create the best habitat possible to attract as much life into this little oasis in the city.
The ponds and stream were designed to create as much varied habitat as possible. Multiple beaches and an internalised bog area as well as a large marginal and boundary create huge amounts of habitat for aquatic life. Throughout the garden Wildflower turf was used to create a foundation of insects for all other wildlife in the garden. Our client wanted to be able to see the wildlife from his studio, so the beaches were positioned to allow him to view the incoming birds whilst he works.
Throughout the rest of the garden we used more Wildflower turf and created a small perennial bed to add more lasting colour and to create some depth through the garden.
